Wednesday Night Sail On Lake Champlain

Looking north on Lake Champlain…

So, tonight was a perfect night to be on the water. There was just enough wind to sail, but not enough to un-quiet the water… the perfect night to take Asta out for her first sail. After work I met up with Mari, my sister-in-law Aili and her daughter Asta. We then all walked down to the Burlington waterfront where we met up with Ene, Andy and their friend Steve. Soon after our arrival we slipped out of the slip and it was all smooth sailing from there.

I have to say, it’s been a lot of fun getting to see how this whole sailing thing works… and unfortunately I can definitely see owning something like this sometime in the future. It’s such a fun way to spend time on the water and when conditions are right, cruising along without a motor disrupting the mood is an awesome way to travel.

Anyway, it was a pretty uneventful trip and I just thought I’d share some of the images… soon there will be a video also.

Enjoy.
