Here are two photos… one without flash and the other using Nikon’s CLS to fire two flashes remotely. As you can see the first photo is ok… Honestly, there isn’t that much wrong with the photo, it’s just that the only thing interesting about the photo is what’s happening in the photo.
The second photo uses two flashes set up on either side at roughly 45 degrees. By using flash I was able to underexpose the ambient (background), while maintaining proper exposure of the subject. In this photo the subject stands out a little more and there is good light on the subject’s face. This photo, even though not that much different from the first, just has a little more pop. It’s more interesting and better yet, no one else taking pictures at the same time has this photo.
