New Keweenaw Mine Images (hdr)…

So, I am still playing around with photomatix and creating hdr images… I really do believe that this type of treatment is pretty limited in use, but if you have a scene with a lot of texture it really has the ability to make things interesting.

So, I have this plan to have some more prints made and put them up somewhere in town where they would be fairly visible. However, this time I would like to put up a series of images with more of a theme. Lately, I’ve really been intrigued by all of the mines and the surrounding ruins in our area. I am thinking that the mines will probably be the subject of my next round of prints.

I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m thinking that I want to have five images, and I’ll know which ones once I have them.

Keep checking back, or better yet leave me some comments. I know there are people out there reading this. Let me know what you think.

Later.

These shots have are very dramatic-my perception. They're captivating. I've been to a few of the mines in the Keweenaw; your pictures can tell their stories. So much history in the U.P. This may seem less-than-appealing to you, but have you ever submitted photos for travel promotion to the U.P., calendars, postcards, etc.? You have a very unique perspective.
