So, I’m having a lot of fun trying to see things in High Dynamic Range Vision. Over the last couple of days my camera has stayed ready to shoot, but not just one picture at a time. Lately, I’ve been shooting five frames at a time and then coming home and doing a little post processing magic to create the images you see here.
In reality it’s pretty easy. A program called Photomatix does most of the work for me. Sometimes when the images don’t line up very well I need to to some pre-processing, and after Photomatix spits out an image I can’t help but tweak it.
Honestly though… I don’t know how useful this type of image is. I think that if I tone the effect down quite a bit the images will become a lot more useful. However, I do want to see one of these printed on canvas. If it looks as good as I think it will, I might just have to put together a little show and see if I can get anyone in town to let me present it. We’ll see.
