So, I just received a new lens the other day, and I have to say I’m pretty excited about it. Probably more so than is reasonable. Either way, it doesn’t matter. I don’t care what any of you think. Well, now that I’ve got said lens… what’s one to do next?
Go take pictures with it of course!
So, today after I got out of work I went for a quick walk and shot some photos of things that aren’t too far from where I live. While I was out, I figured I would explore some of the new options on the D300. One of the things it can do is shoot consecutive frames at different exposures. You can then combine these images and create some photos that make people wanna say, “neat”.
After looking through the photos and processing three sets, these are some of the images that I’ve come up with. The first one is my favorite. Something about an emergency vehicle grown over with weeds that makes you think twice about getting in trouble. The others are of a church and the courthouse. They didn’t turn out as well as I would have liked. There was a little too much camera shake when taking the photos and that has caused some ghosting of the images when combined. In hindsight a tripod would have been nice… oh well.
Oh… I just realized I never told you what lens I received… it’s the Nikkor 70-200 2.8. It’s pretty sweet.
