So, today I went on what I thought was going to be a fairly easy bike ride. Little did I know that I was going to get served more than my fair share. We met behind Down Wind at 5:30 to do a easy to moderate 20-30 mile ride. It was a windy day, but we didn’t really think too much of it. Anyway, we take off and things are going great. We’re cruising along and all is good in the world. Then we make the turn. Who there to slap us in the face, none other than the wind that’s been pushing us along for the first 12ish miles. No biggie, just a little wind. Oh, yeah and now we start to get into the hillier portion of the ride. Now keep in mind, when I say windy I mean 20-30 knots windy, and when I say hillier I mean rolling hills (nothing steep). Anyway, since this is starting to bore even me I’ll cut to the chase. We ended up doing just over 24 miles, but there were a couple of moments when I was in my lowest gear and I was beginning to think I was going to have to get off the bike and walk. Now, I’d like to think that this was due to the wind, but I have a feeling it has more to do with the fact that I hardly got off my ass all winter.
Anyway, I got a new lens yesterday and today I got to snap a couple of pics. It’s kinda cool it’s the Tokina 12-24 f4. Some of you might know what that means, anyway it’s just a really wide angle lens and I think it is going to be fun to shoot with.
End boring blustery whining.
