So, today was my first effort doing the pictures for hire gig. I think it went pretty well. I will say that I didn’t really go in with a plan as I wasn’t familiar with the area we were shooting at. I think it went ok, but I think I could have done better if I had more time to plan some of the pics. I hope Genny is happy with the way the photos turned out. I will also say that it was different being in a position to direct a “model.” Usually, I just like to try and take pictures as they happen, capturing fleeting moments and not forcing anyone to pose. It’s different, something I will have to get used to. I don’t feel I was assertive enough.
Also, I get myself a little worked up and on the verge of rushing things sometimes. I just feel like it shouldn’t take me as long to set something up, and as the clock keeps ticking I start to rush. I need to remember to just take it easy and create a good picture, check everything and don’t worry about the time. The finished product is the priority. I’m learning. I don’t think they are bad. Here are a couple of shots. Later
