Well, we were supposed to go away this weekend to go kayaking and camping, but the weather was not on our side. On Friday we ended up eating an early dinner and then heading out to McLain State Park to play in the 3-5ft waves. You can see pics from that day in the previous post. On Saturday Jill, Hans, Mari and I drove up to Bete Gris beach and then paddled out to the mouth of the Montreal River. I had never seen the place so busy. On approach we ran into a group of paddlers who had started at Copper Harbor a few days before, and having something to eat on the beach we saw Mike D. and Roger R. paddle up, turn around, and head off. After we got back we stopped at the party store to pick up supplies and then met some people at the mouth of the Gratiot River for some cornhole, campfiring and camping. This morning we woke up, packed up and headed out. The rest of the day was supposed to consist of us being productive, but as of right now… it’s not happening. Maybe I’ll work on that after I finish writing this. Anyway, enjoy the pics and experimental vids. Later!
